Ten

I don't really have a best friend; not like kids do in all the books that I read.

I have Mandy. She's a friend. But we're not super close. I never talk to her outside of school. Well, once she sent me an email forward. I don't think that really counts for much.

We sit together in science and English.

Every so often I'll sit by her at lunch. Mandy does have a best friend though; Kylie. She sits by her; and I feel like a third wheel when I join them. They're very friendly when I first walk over with my tray. They say hi and encourage me to sit down. But then once I'm there and we're all eating our lunches they barely glance my way. I feel invisible.
