Four

I think the history of the Zombie Zoo is fascinating.

It all began with an actress named Emma Watson. I'm not sure if you've heard of her. She was a British actress and was in the Harry Potter films. I'm sure you've heard of those.

Anyway, in the first days of the Zombie outbreak; people found her walking around. This one family was about to shoot her in the head. Then the youngest kid screamed. "No, that's Hermione!"

The father said it didn't matter. She wasn't Hermione any more. But then a crowd had formed, and the mob was not at all in support of killing her.

Someone had the idea of capturing her. They did that and locked her in a room.

Eventually they turned her into an exhibit. Then a few years after the zombie war, it was revealed that the zombie wasn't Emma Watson after all. It was just someone that looked like her. What happened is that someone found the REAL Emma Watson zombie. She had been locked in a room in a mansion for over a decade.

So now at the zoo they have the real Emma Watson and the fake Emma Watson. They're in the same enclosure together.

There's a bunch of other celebrities as well. Adam Levine. He was a musician. Bill Gates. He was this really rich guy.

Who else?

Oh. Andrew Lincoln. He was a British actor. Ironically he had starred in a zombie TV show. But in the show he wasn't a zombie.

Real life had handed him a different role. It's too bad. He was quite handsome. Although if he hadn't been a zombie, he'd be 101 years-old now.

There's some people who are working on a cure for the zombie condition. They want to reverse it. Then we'd have all these celebrities back as their old selves. It would be kind of cool in a Rip Van Winkle type way. But I think it's a bit far-fetched.

I don't think the scientists have gotten very far.

I read an editorial that talks about how it would be really hard for all the people who killed zombies. How would they feel knowing that they could have saved their daughter, son (or whatever) instead of shooting them in the brains?

It would probably be very hard…depressing.

I've read some statistics. If you add the zombies in the five zombie zoos worldwide to those being studied by scientists there are about 750 captured zombies out there. About 200 originated in the first years of the outbreak. Four-hundred were taken during the war. Then the rest were taken after that. Twenty have been captured since I was born.

On top of that, there are the zombies that are being kept illegally and secretively. Who knows how many that is....
