Eighteen

I sent Mr. Hall an email.

I said…

Dear Mr. Hall.

If it's so important to be well-rounded, why have you been stuck teaching high school history for all these years?

I think if you want me to learn about something besides zombies; you should do something besides teaching history.

Helen.

I regretted sending it as soon as it was sent.

I hate school, but I'd rather not be expelled.

For history we're supposed to write a five page paper.   We had to pick our topics today.

I picked the zombie war.

Mr. Hall rejected my plan.  He says I write too much about zombie history.   I need to be more well-rounded.  Blah, blah, blah.

I hate him.

And I can't think of anything else I want to write about.

I'm sure you've heard the news, but I'll repeat it anyway.

There was a MAJOR zombie outbreak this week; the biggest one in decades.

It happened in a small town in Australia.

The article I read said the police had to shoot sixty-five zombies.

Now the town is under quarantine.

Who knows if anyone escaped.

Tomorrow is the night I'm going to be alone.

I hope my parents feel very guilty if I'm attacked by a zombie.

No, actually they'd probably be relieved.

They could get rid of me without getting into any trouble from the police.

Hopefully, I'd bite them before they start their carefree Helen-free life.

I talked to Mandy about Halloween.

She said it would be too dangerous.   What if people dress up as zombies?   The police and Z patrol might not know the difference.  They might not protect people from real zombies; and they might shoot normal healthy people in the brain.

I reminded her about the smell.

She changed the subject.

That's the thing about Mandy.  Her opinion is gospel and there's no use arguing with her.

Well, I do argue with her sometimes.   But I never win.

What's the point?
